Prom Makeup Ideas

Prom Makeup Ideas

By Ireland Moss

When it comes to prom makeup, you want your look to be as memorable as your evening. It can take weeks to find the perfect dress, it is no wonder that so many have trouble coming up with ideas on what to do when it comes to cosmetics for the big night. The good news is that you can combine your own style with that of the hottest trends to make you stand out in the crowd.

Idea Number One

Kate Middleton has a makeup look that is classic and natural looking. Even on her wedding day, the princess stayed with her timeless look. For you to do this for your prom makeup, you are going to want to make sure that you are going for neutral tones that are going to compliment your skin tone. A cream blush that will give you a slightly flushed look will work well. Black eye liner and black mascara is going to define your features and help you to look great on the big night.

Idea Number Two

Take the smoky eye look to the next level. Choose colors that are going to compliment the dress that you are going to wear. You can build a smoky look for your eyes in any color based. If you are going with something in the purples, you would put a light lavender shade from the lash line all the way up to the eyebrow. You can then use a deep plum on the eye lid and blend it until it disappears up into the lavender shade.

Idea Number Three

You do not want your lipstick to come off after the first drink that you take at the prom. The all day lip colors can look a bit dry and glossy looks are in right now. You can have the best of both worlds. Use a product like CoverGirl Outlast Lip Color as your base. Instead of putting on their top coat, you can use a lip gloss that you like to highlight your lips. By doing this for your prom makeup, you are going to be sure that you will not spend all your time in the bathroom reapplying your lipstick.

There are many other items that you are going to want to pay attention to when you do your makeup for a special occasion like the prom. You want to make sure that you take the steps necessary to help your products to last all day. You will also want to make sure that you drink plenty of water leading up to the days of your event. This will make your skin look better before you even start applying your cosmetics.

If you want to know how to look your best no matter what your plans are then you have to go to the Best Makeup Tips. It is your one stop shop for everything from what to buy to how to apply these great cosmetics products.

A Simple Eye Makeup Look That Can Be Done in Minutes

A Simple Eye Makeup Look That Can Be Done in Minutes By Ireland Moss

If you are trying to find a way to speed up your morning makeup routine then you are going to want to check out this application technique. You can easily find the time to put this look together when your morning coffee is brewing. This is a good eye makeup look to help you to look awake when you have over slept for work as well.

This eye makeup look is something that can be done with any eye color and skin tone. You do not need to worry about matching colors or trying to highlight your eye color when you are creating this look. All that you need to do is to focus on looking great before you walk out the door.

Step One

Use a cream concealer that is a half shade lighter than your skin tone to start this process. You will put some on any dark circles that you might have. You can also put some on your eye lids to even out the color of the skin. This helps to make you look more awake and will get your eye makeup to last all day.

Step Two

Grab your blush brush and put some of the same blush that you are going to use on your cheeks across your eye lids. A light dusting of this color will help to give your eyes some depth without too much color.

Step Three

Grab one of your eye makeup compacts that you have. You can choose just about any color compact that you own to do this look. The key is that you are looking for a multi pack that has one light color that is known as a highlighter in it. This is the only actual eye shadow color that you will be using.

Step Four

Apply a little bit of the highlighter color to corner of each eye by the nose. You will put some of this light eye makeup color under your eyebrow where it arches. You can also use a fan brush and apply some of this color on top of your cheek bone.

Step Five

Finish your look with black mascara and eye liner on the top lid of your eye. If you layout all of the eye makeup and tools that you need to create this look in the morning, you can do this application in less then 5 minutes in the morning.
